Alan Watson shot film and video for over 33 years. After 24 years of shooting news, sports and public affairs,

he spent a year operating uplink trucks before going freelance and shooting commercials, video inserts, and live camera

for TV, film and special events. A member at various times of NABET and IATSE, Alan covered events ranging from

Papal visits and Royal tours to major disasters and sporting specials. Work included many movie sets with interviews

by major actors and locations often involved challenges of weather, time, and unusual locations.

Although not formally trained as a chef, Alan has a lot of experience cooking for others.

Many pig roasts and charity dinners were accomplished under the tutelage of John Berry from Edmonton.

Over the years interests expanded to wine making and Alan now is involved in the Zymurgy wine club of Chilliwack, B.C.

Always on the lookout for new ideas and recipes, Alan is gradually converting his equipment to commercial in anticipation

of another new business in the food industry.

Research is currently underway on materials and techniques and a trial market should be set up in the coming year.

Real estate is another area under development. A purchase overseas last year should come on-line in later 2008

as a rental property in eastern Europe. Details will become available when the property is ready for occupancy.
